HKN-Series
HKN-1
This giant coaxial Horn was designed for multiple clubs in Berlin like Napoleon Komplex, Birgit und Bier, Ipse and some more. The HKN-1 is our solution for broad-band directivity without the use of a cardioid design. The triple coaxial horn consists of a 1,4“ compression driver, a 5“ midrange driver, and a 12“ woofer. Thanks to its geometry, it plays down to 100Hz while still effectively focusing the sound. However, its large dimensions mean that it cannot be used in just any location.
HKN-2
The HKN-2 is a slimmed-down version of our HKN-1 and consists of its midrange and high-frequency sections. Its coaxial design in combination with the horn makes it a coherent sound source with good directional characteristics. Since the midrange horn only extends down to 300 Hz, a low-mid extension is necessary to ensure a seamless transition to the subwoofers. We developed the PTK310c for this application. The smaller dimensions of the HKN-2 in combination with the PTK310c are ideal for directional applications where the HKN-1 would not fit.
HKN-3
The HKN-3 is the most compact model in our HKN series and was specially developed as a delay horn. Its extremely small dimensions allow for easy and discrete installation even in restricted spaces. The precisely designed horn geometry ensures targeted coverage of the desired area, reduces unwanted sound reflections, and increases speech intelligibility even in acoustically challenging situations. This makes the HKN-3 the ideal choice for delay lines, front fills, or other applications where controlled directivity with minimal space requirements is of the essence.
Other Projects
PWS 118
The PWS118 is a truly unique development designed to create a virtually planar wavefront directly on the wall. The subwoofer is designed so that it can be mounted directly to the wall. Its powerful 18“ driver operates in a sophisticatedly tuned 6th order band-pass enclosure that combines high sound pressure with low frequency response. Multiple PWS118 can be seamlessly combined into large arrays, enabling highly controlled, directional bass radiation with minimal level differences in the listening area. This makes the PWS118 the perfect solution for installations in clubs, theaters, or studios where homogeneous bass reproduction without disruptive hotspots is required.
PBK 412c
The PBK412c is the little brother of our PBK1512c and belongs to the cardioid bass family. Its smaller dimensions make it ideal for applications where space is limited and reduced external noise radiation is important. Its characteristic narrow design makes it perfect for setting up line arrays. Multiple PBK412c units can be combined into a bass line array to save space, providing very even coverage of the audience area and minimizing noise emissions.
PTK 310c
We developed the PTK 310c as an extension for the HKN-2. With its 10“ drivers, the PTK310c delivers crisp mids and bridges the lower midrange between our horn systems and basses. Its cardioid design ensures flexible use in applications where low noise levels outside the sound field are important. It can also be arranged in a line using its special mounting system.
